Smugmug Printing Feedback
I want to say thank you to all the amazing comments everybody has left! I know I have been lax in replying and I am going to try and sit down and reply to as many questions as I can soon! If you have specific photography questions, it’s best to just email them and I will try to make blog post that includes answers to everybody’s questions.
I have simplified the printing view for each photo now, so hopefully it should be easier to navigate the choices.
I have also just started using ‘SmugMug’ for my online printing, so I would love to hear any feedback about the site itself or the ordering process. Let me know if anything is confusing, not working properly, incorrect print sizes, too expensive, poor shipping options, or expensive shipping?
Right now the lab is located in the US, so shipping anywhere else can sometimes be expensive/time consuming. I am going to try and find better options for other countries.
Thanks again for the awesome support!

You are a very talented photographer!!! We thank you for showing your talent to the world!
I heard that their prices just went up 67% from this past summer. Are you happy so far with your experience? We’re thinking about moving in that direction, too.

aww… You are welcome….
Have a fabulous day…
I just love your pics. Replies not necessary.
on the car photo with the sparklers, how many sparklers did you use ?
Just one sparkler actually. If I were to do it again I would do multiple shots each with one sparkler focusing on one particular part of the car and then composite them all together in Photoshop.
Thanks Patrick, its coming slowly up to Firework night and sparklers will be on my shopping list ! Not sure which i loved most the car with sparklers or the music sheet with the water droplet. Both awesome.
no questions, just wanted to say you’re photography is breathtaking. I’ll be stopping by every now and again when I need to witness a little beauty
I just think you’re cute. okay, and your photography isn’t half bad i’ll admit!
Patrick, I look forward to your AMAZING photos every day. I’m so delighted that you popped into my blog so I had the opportunity to find you.
Hey. No worries, Patrick. Photographer + avid hiker = man of few words oftentimes. A picture speaks a thousand words, anyway…
Everyone ❤s your blog and photos, regardless!
Hope you had a great day!
i would go broke if I ordered all the photos I wanted from you…
Just wanted to thank you very much for reading my blog and liking it! (gasp) I absolutely love your photos, too. Truly wonderful.
Smugmug is awesome… its too bad they hiked their pro prices by $100… I don’t get a lot of print traffic so not sure if its worth keeping next year or not.
That looks amaaazing:)!!
I’m with Maddie Cochere on this one. I eagerly await each of your new photos. I have friends in Kingston, Ontario and one of these days I will visit Canada!!!!
What versatile work… We admire your passion for photography!
Your angles and use of light are terrific. I love the colors that show up in your work. Keep it going. I try to do the same things with my own camera and wind up calling Canon for help, after searching diligently through the troubleshooting forums. I’ll keep practicing and know that the next, right, best shots are out there, as long as I’m out there.
I so love seeing your gorgeous photos of my home and native land!
Smugmug is fantastic. I used them to host my gallery and have ordered prints from then so that I can see the quality myself. BTW I’m in Toronto and the shipping to Canada is not outrageous. Also their customer service is awesome.
Wonderfully inspiring images. I haven’t been to Canada enough. We go every couple years to Toronto and Woodland Beach near Bari (spelling? I think I spelled the Italian city there) because most of my wife’s family emigrated from Ireland to various parts of Canada in the 50s. Have you hiked and snapped elsewhere in the world?
We use dscl colour labs for uk printing, so if you have orders from here, you can try them. I’m married to a photographer and for quality and price, he thinks they’re good. All online options. Deirdre
Dear Patrick, no need to worry about what you are posting… All very relevant and interesting. Your photography is incredible. This is all sounding a bit too sucky up, so I will temper it – er, would you mind sending me a pic which I can shamelessly use on my own blog to make a point about good pics (i.e I do not take these) and direct the (small) general public to people who do? Best wishes, E
Smugmug is quite a cosy place to hangout. We’d like to ‘thank-you’ for those fabulous photo-dhots that have inspired us all here. Know your supported! Key regards!
Thanks Patrick – so pleased you decided to dip into my very different UK blog for otherwise I wouldn’t be able to admire your talents. It’s great to see more of Canada as Nina and I enjoyed our visits to Toronto. With such a huge fan club there’s no way you could reply to each and everyone – don’t fret just soak up the blessings!
thanks for sharing your talent – it brings a smile to my face whenever it appears in my reader.
I like smug mug. I actually have a site with them, but I can not access smug mug from here. that is a bummer. Good luck. I am sure you will have success. Your work speaks for itself.
I just absolutely love your pictures. They are really amazing. Thank you sharing your talent. Brilliant.
These are breathtaking..
Great photography! Thanks for following the Why The Writing Works blog. We appreciate it!

Breathtaking pics. Really amazing! Thanks for the follow. It helped introduce me to your beautiful blog. God bless!
I was introduced to Smugmug last year and was really happy with the service, quality and ease!
