Wailea Sea Wall, Maui
Story
This was taken along a stretch of the Wailea Sea Wall. I’ve always loved interesting looking trees that are isolated like this one.
Shot at 17mm at F16 with a shutter speed of 1/40s and iso 100. This is cropped from a larger photo, so I would say the focal length probably ended up being closer to 28mm.

Looks so inviting…
Gorgeous!
stunning!
very beautiful.
The more photos I attempt to take with my little Kodak, the more I respect your talent!
Simply beautiful.
I’d like to be there right now.
Absolutely stunning!
AMAZING!!!
Such a serene feeling. Thanks Patrick!
*sigh* SO lovely-
I really like this one. I think it’s because the sidewalk makes it seem a little closer to home. It’s inviting.

NOTE: Stunning photos of Hawaii!
very nice….Did you see some whales? I know where that place is and I’ve seen baby whales flapping there tails there! Beautiful photo by the way….
I’ve been in this exact location. Your photo looks way better than mine, ha
Gorgeous soft light. A really lovely shot.
That tree actually looks like it has a personality and is posing for the picture.
Want!
Perfect in every way. Thanks for sharing.
As usual, very good.
Gorgeous shot!!
Perfect – and fantastic light as well
Lovely scenery!
Perfection…
Extremely Nice
Wow! It’s like a pathway to a wonderful destiny! Breathtaking!
One of my favorite places…
Dreamy.
Very nice. I especially like the sunlight reflecting off the tree branches. You used F16 aperture to increase the depth of field, so that the foreground is in focus? 1/40s handheld, or do you carry a tripod?
Beautiful! I want to be there!

Thanks for sharing the beauty of Maui!
Bewitchingly beautiful are the photographs. I feel like writing a post on them, in anticipation of your approval of course.
Very Inviting, I am ready to hike into your beautiful shot…
Well done! That tree must be very proud.
I always love pictures of Hawaii that I haven’t seen before. This feels more like home than photos of the beach or jungle (as beautiful as those may be).
STUNNING!!
Just makes you want to walk the path.
Nice feeling to imagine myself in your photo.
Amazing colours
<<likes it too
Beautiful image.. I need to get back to Hawaii..
beautiful..i know exactly where this is
Another gorgeous shot from “paradise.” Nicely done!
I love this image, you’ve captured the light beautifully. The greens from the foliage really help the picture come alive against the water and distant scenery.
If this is from a larger image could you have given the tree a bit more space on the left? The tree looks like it’s leaning into that space and I wonder if it would add anything to show where it’s leaning into – or would that be really cheesy?
I’ve art directed photo shoots but never mastered the technical aspects of photography – it shows, right?!
Oh so beautiful – I just want to be there! Seeing this photo is the next best thing though : )

Hey Patrick,
Great pics – as normal:) I posted your link on my website today on our Fine Art and Photography page @ Hareswares.com. Didn’t ask your permission, so I hope you don’t mind? Don’t have massive traffic at this point, since we just launched on the 24th, but could be some good advertisement for you. Take a look at the site and let me know how you like it.
Thanks, Steve

Absolutely love the colors. You have definitely caught the sky, the green plants, the stone, the cracks in the walkway with sunlight passing through. The gorgeous tree, sea wall, serene clouds, and mountains. Beautiful!
