Dicken’s in Calgary. Google Frankie McQueen and then check them out on Youtube. Never heard of them before this post but would def attend if they showed up in K town.
I used to take pictures of my brother in a heavy metal band years ago, 35mm of course. Tried all kinds of high speed settings/asa for the low light. I only wish I could take them over with my digital! Great shots!

These photos have captured the ‘moments’ fantastic like you were really there. Must have been difficult to take these with ALL these lights. Well done. The ones where you see them in action swirling their hair – the Hairy ones my favourite. Reminds me when I was much younger and did this sort of thing dancing to The Kinks ‘You Really Got me’!
Came here to see pics of bassist Corey Adams (I’ve known him for years) and came away loving the cool wide-angle perspective on so many of these pics. Well done.
Nice shots and you just educated me a bit. Concert photography is a bulk of what I shoot and I didn’t realize there was a 50mm f/1.2 out there, I generally shoot everything with my 50mm f/1.8. There is now one more lens added to the old wish list that I’d like to own or at least try out one day. You do great work!
Don’t know the band but love all the hair shots…my youngest brother hasn’t had a haircut in 10 years…it’s insane but it’s so him.
Excellent photos!
Great set!!
Nice captures! Love the fish eye images.

The black and white is really effective
Awesome action shots.
I was feeling envious, then I remembered I’m going to see Weezer next week- not up close in a sweet room like that though.
Fantastic! I love the happiness you’ve caught on the musicians’s faces. And the “head-banging” action shots looks cool – real. Great job.
Just gotta say … love that you caught the hair! Fun shots!
your photography is really good!
I admire your work. I desire your skill. Awesome!
Very nice concert photography! The series is done so that I feel like I am a part of the band! Great achievement!
Hair in motion. Love.

Amazing! I feel like I was at the gig. I know everyone else has said it too, but I love the hair-flinging shots. So fun!
Those shots are so awesome… really without flash? That’s amazing. I need to get better!
