This was one of the first landscape shots I was really proud of. Taken in my first few months of photography, 4 years ago.
That’s a very good shot…a lot going on there to make it interesting.
Strangely, looks very similiar to southern Illinois and the farmlands (except the trees are too scrawny). Very beautiful.
ciao! timeless shot. just the best that you picked up a camera.
SO NICE TO LOOK AT.
So serene !
Beautiful with the contrasts between the black and white and the sunset! That looks fantastic. (Wish I was that talented..LOL) 😀
A wonderful shot and the beginning of a wonderful adventure both hiking and photography wise. You have shared some wonderful images with us, and it all started here!!
Your photography is stunning…I cannot wait to get to Canada and see the beauty in real life that you portray so well here.
the immensity of these bales of hay is emphasized by there sticking way up over the snow. what a special moment you captured. nice job!
It’s wonderful Patrick! and gives me hope … I am still in my first “real” year of photography
Amazing, amazing, amazing as always! Stunning trips and views !Amazing Photos! I had a missing in blogging month but I had to review all your work again.. AMAZING!
Gorgeous . . .
I have an odd aversion to hay bales but I think this picture is just lovely. Thanks for posting it.
Do you know what’s most amazing about this photo? That it was taken only four years ago. When I look at your photos today, I’ve always assumed you’re been at this for decades. There’s a lot of encouragement here for the beginners, like me!
Really nice! Like this very much. Good work!
and so you should be proud!
Really atmospheric! I could feel the chill.
I always love seeing these great ‘weet-bix’ sized bales but they look like peculiarly like woolly mammoths sitting in the snow
Feels and looks like home
May I ask what camera this picture was taken with?
It was the first DSLR I owned, a Canon 40D.
Very good! Thanks.
I nominated you for Shine On Award. Please visit this link: http://moazzamshaikh.wordpress.com/2013/04/24/shine-on-award-nomination/

This is so beautiful! I’d be proud of a shot like this too.
Makes me miss home. These are the sights I grew up with.

Fantastic photo…makes me want to get on a snow mobile and explore.
Fantastic photo…makes me want to get on a snowmobile and explore.
I wish that I was there.
It’s perfect. I’ve been in this and walked in it, and the photo brings it back to me, in another season and place. I can feel the cold clean air in my nostrils, hear the snow squeak under my boots…
You should be proud of this! It’s gorgeous!
What a beautiful picture!
So beautiful. Peaceful.
Hay bales in winter have always fascinated me! Great photo!
Love that you included the fence – great detail to a beautiful capture!
