Grizzly Bear in Banff National Park

This was just one of FOUR grizzly’s that were together. A mom and 3 older cubs that were alongside the Trans-Canada Highway a few weeks ago.

    She is so beautiful, Patrick – awesome shot! We saw a family of black bears in Pennsylvania last year but I didn’t have enough time to get the camera as I was driving šŸ™

    Wow! What a beautiful and overwhelmingly large creature. I am in awe of the rich color and texture in the fur and the expressive eyes.

      Sorry I forgot to include that I also used a 2x Extender, making it 600mm.

    My goodness the image is so vivid it could somehow ironically be a painting instead ! And how lucky were you to have been able to take this shot near a mother and her cubs? I heard those mama bears are poisonous when people get near their children.

    Great close-up of the features of this bear and the features are similar to that of a fox too. I love bears and often wonder how they survive being the size they are but they do if left alone. Love this one.
