This was a great cross country trail that wasn't too difficult. It would be nice to continue all the way to the lake but unfortunately, there is avalanche risk after the viewpoint.
Our plan was to ski towards Skoki Lodge and just see how far we could make it before having to turn around.
Chester Lake Cross Country Ski Trail is one of the most popular trails in the Kananaskis. Round trip is roughly 4 hours, 10km and 310m elevation gain.
