I love moon shots, very hypnotising.
And yours really shows the cavities and rough texture of it on the right side – stupendous capture!
The navel at the bottom and the color in your photo, makes me think of it as an orange now.
How timely your post is – for the mooncake festival where the chinese celebrate it on the full moon yesterday – and folks who are hopeful for love throw oranges into the water that shows the reflection of the moon.

She’s looking gorgeous! (Or he – in an Inuit story, the moon is a brother forever following his sister, the sun.) I agree with moderndayruth, this is one of the most compelling photos of the moon that I have ever seen. Beautiful work. Thanks for the like on my post. WOW! Super glad to discover your blog! Thanks for dropping by! I also read your Ha Ling Peak post (since it sounded like a Cantonese name and I hail from Hong Kong) but I guess it wasn’t a hike in Asia. Still really cool though. In a couple weeks, I will posting about a (far more amateur) hike I overtook in Northern Norway- have you ever been there by any chance?
