Panorama of Yaletown, Vancouver

Panorama Photography Tips

Gear Used:

This is 7 shots stitched together in portrait orientation using Photoshop. Shot at 58mm, f/11, 59.0s, and iso 100. With overlapping that works out to be about 90 megapixels for the final image.

I don’t normally link to higher resolution copies of my photos, but it’s difficult to see a panorama of this size at lower resolutions.

These are the type of photos I’d love to take but practising with small digital camera and smart phone for now. Have signed up for newsletter. Thanks. I LOVE all of these. So sharp and bright against the dark sky. I LOVE the dark background on your blog too. Thanks for this.

Brilliant photography, but the sensation of being lost in a world of other people’s lights, is overwhelming.

Hey Patrick! Love the shot, but wondering how you froze the boats in the foreground on a 59 sec. exposure.

I think it was very still night but even the boats in the foreground did move enough to blur them a little. The boats on the far right were docked and must have been tied enough not to move.
