Spring Cherry Blossoms

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Shot with a new camera/lens. The Olympus OM-D and the Panasonic 25mm F1.4. The OM-D and it’s lenses are roughly 1/3 to 1/4 the size and weight of my Canon. This is the first mirror less camera that I’ve felt has had the image quality and lens selection to rival the DSLRS. For the more difficult hands on scrambling, this is the camera I plan to bring with me from now on.

Yup, the small stuff these days is great! I dumped all my large Nikon stuff quite a while ago and never looked back!

I am highly offended/sad that you didn’t use a DSLR, but at the same time, that shit is heavy.

This is another example of OM-D that I’ve just seen in the past week. Both are awesome!

You’re a bit further ahead than Yorkshire in England, we’ve not got much blossom going on. C’mon Spring!

    Very pretty.

It’s nice to see Spring is somewhere. We’re having a hard time getting rid of winter here in Colorado.

Haha a friend of mine is a rep for Panasonic and boy does he ever beat the drum for mirrorless. When I want to go light I just take my Canon w/o grip and a Zeiss 50 manual focus. If I want to go superlight I take the point and shoot. Quality is okay, but not excellent. Haven’t really tried mirrorless yet.

I have recently purchased the Nikon 1 V2 & three lenses giving me a 18mm to 300mm range (35mm format equivalent) and it’s great to walk around with this 690 grams system compared to my Nikon D700 & three lenses, which weigh in at 5,500 grams. On a recent trip to Australia I took only the Nikon 1, but on my upcoming trip to the Lake District I will also take my D700 kit. The Nikon 1 system gives very good quality but the D700 gives fantastic quality.
