Response to ‘Suggestions to Improve the Site’

Here a few of the things I have addressed or will address in the next few weeks. If you don’t see your suggestion on here, it will be coming later 🙂
  • Text Readability – I have darkened the background colours a bit and brightened the text. Please let me know if you find this better? Worse?
  • Glossary of Terms – I am going to write an article on the basics of cameras and lenses, which will include a glossary of terms
  • Budget Minded Suggested Gear – I will create a section for great suggested gear that doesn’t break the bank

The changes to increase readability have helped tremendously. My old eyes thank you.

I’m eager for the article on basics and the glossary.

The budget one would be great for me as a student. I have a canon SX230 bought for me, great for pictures to a degree, not so great for filming as this is my main area and much as i’d loved a DSLR i’m soon to be an unemployed student lol if you’ve any suggestions as well for filming that be great. Other than that love the site its a great mixture.

I have the same template for my blog and get the same complaints on the size of the text. sigh…wish we could change it without having to pay for an upgrade$$

Reading you from my iPad is a bit difficult. Thinking it may be the size of my screen and not so much your text size/color.

Budget photography gear would certainly be appreciated by many.

I’ve often had people in the street admire my DLSR & lenses, but to be honest, it’s all about priority in our lives. I live on a small Govt disability pension and cut my own hair, don’t buy clothes, don’t have holidays, don’t go out socially etc.
I spend money on my photography hobby. But I do have a limit, once that money is gone, I will have to be content with what I’ve got.

I find my favourite photography blogs are the ones that tell what DSLR settings they’ve used for a photo they’ve posted (& more importantly, why). I like blogs that talk about personal experience.

To be honest I prefer photos that also have not had too much post processing done (if any). I want to be a good photographer, not a great photo editor.

I have always enjoyed your pictures and although I love photography,I have not seriously pursued it.I have been out-of-touch with almost everyone and I am sorry that i have not kept up.I should be back, and in time will see those that I missed.(Although I have checked in now and again).Good luck,Patrick.
